Aaron Newton has written a compelling blog post which I wanted to share here with my friends. He turned off the power and water to his families home, and spent a weekend trying to see what it would be like if his family where to face a long term emergency where these resources would not be available. He learned alot, and I really liked his post!
Powering Down
The kids and I have been wanting to have a "Lights Out" Saturday evening, every week, and I think we are going to start doing that. I'm not ready to do a weekend yet, but I'll be thinking about ways to cope.

PS...my bathtub doesn't hold water long, and I also use saran wrap/plastic wrap to prevent water loss while bathing. I wrap it around my rubber plug, and stick it in the hole, and it works.
