Today, Lakshmi and Priya celebrated their 5th birthdays together! Priya's actual birthday will be on Monday, and Lakshmi's isn't until July 13th, but that's okay! They got so many fun toys, dress up, a doll house, telephones and more. They both got their own birthday cake with their name on it, and two different ice creams (priya had rainbow sherbert without milk since she can't have that). My neice/their cousin took over the games and drew a picture of a horse without a tail. They played that game, and then played musical chairs (but everyone had a chair to sit in at the end!). Then we opened presents, and then had cake and icecream.
It was fun, and there were a few kids, actually just right for age 5!
We will light birthmother candles on each birthday, and pray for the birthmothers.
Happy Birthday my dear darlings. It is hard to believe that they are (almost) five.
Both girls are no longer nursing, and we are in a new era of learning and playing, which they didn't understand just a year ago at age 4.
