Guatamala Adoption Journal

I came across this adoption journal in my nightly internet travels, about a family who is adopting from Guatamala. The mother has been there for one year, and they have been through hell and back with the local court system for this adoption. I know of families adopting from Guatamala, and they normally have their little ones home by age 4 - 6 months.

This little girl is around 14 - 16 months, and the mom has had her since she was 4 months old.
This is a Christian couple, and while I don't follow their ideals, I thought the blog was interesting giving the mom is dealing with some of the same issues I had while I was living in India...isolation because of language difficulties, missing her husband, raising a child outside of the mom's birth country. All these things I did with Ravi, and it took it's toll on me. I was only in India for 4 months too, so I can imagine she really wants to get home and share this sweet baby with her family, and husband of course!
