It started with Priya asking me to wipe her tushy, as she was on the potty.
Lakshmi: Mommy doesn't like wiping your tushy.
Priya: Yes she does, she likes my tushy, but she doesn't like your tushy.
Lakshmi: Mommy only likes wiping my tushy, she thinks your tushy stinks bad.
Priya: Well, your tushy stinks! Mommy doesn't like stinky tushies but mine.
on and on and on and on and on...................................................................................
LOL! Okay, my only question is....WHY?

Update on "Only in America"
So someone over at MDC posted the video link of the entire video from the classroom to the principals office, and honestly this little girl didn't do nearly as much as the teacher and principal indicated.
In the class room, she punched at the teachers chest. If that had been my kid, she would have been in alot of trouble. But fortunately the teacher blocked the punched by placing her open hand where the girl was about to hit her.
I don't think children should be disrespectable to their teachers. But on the other hand, I believe the teacher and the other woman illicited her behavior. Why didn't they walk the little girl to the principals office from the beginning. I have three kids and I know if they were acting out of sorts, that all I would have to do is walk away, and they would follow me. They might start screaming because they realize the control has been shifted from kid to mom, but they would not stay in a room all alone.
The teacher was FOLLOWING the little girl, step for step. Even I as a parent have handled a 2nd grade boy in Ravi's class room who was out of control. His mom left and never came back. He is out of control. Angry and sad. He threw a pint of milk at the wall in the cafeteria. He then threw his food on the floor and started crying. I gingerly grabbed his hand and walked him to the school nurse. Punitive would not have helped him. He needed a family member to console him.
Anyway, for every action the little girl produced, the teacher met it with reversing it. That is not how you work with a child. If the girl threw a block on the floor, the teacher picked it up. The whole time the teacher only said a few words. "No Daisha". "That's not acceptable Daisha". What about "do you need a hug"?
Lakshmi has SID (sensory integration disorder) and she will kick and throw things if she is out of sorts. All she needs is a tight squeeze to process all of the sensory issues not being processed normally, and then she has a little cry and is happy again.
We have to remember that children are not made out of little cookie cutters! They have a large range of emotions, reactions and homelifes. Apparently this little girl had a terrible home life. On the video, it was said that the mother couldn't get off until after 3:00 o'clock. Well, if my child was distressed, you had better believe I would end a massage, or walk out of a job, to help my child. Maybe I might be a little very upset to find out she had hit adults and concerned the teachers enough to remove the kids from the class, but I would still do it.
The little girl was sitting down and sitting still. She never endangered anyond in my opinion.
They saw her sitting there and grabbed her and handcuffed her. How can she ever go back to school again to learn? How can she ever trust the police again. What if she is raped? How will she get help? She would never trust them again.
I how I wish I could go back to homeschooling again.
