Ravi to the ER last weekend...

UPDATE:
Thursday morning Ravi is doing better, but unfortunately I have gotten the pink eye. We all have colds too. When it rains, it pours - so it is said! Most of Ravi's hemerages have reabsorbed back into the eye. However he has a new one which is close to his iris.

The sclera (the white part) is very sensitive, and sometimes allergies will make sclera swell, or in this case, conjunctivitis makes hemmerages.

Saturday evening Ravi came down with pink eye (conjunctivitis).
By Sunday afternoon, he had red blood spots in his right eye. I called the pediatrician right away and the doctor on call said to take him to the hospital.

At the hospital, they said he has the viral pink eye, (which is also highly contagious) and that sub-occular hemmarages are common.

With his history of the congenital cataract, I didn't want to take a chance on his good eye (right eye). I was worried he would lose the vision in his right eye, and with his interoccular lens implant, he may not be able to see enough to drive.

Fortunately, he will be doing alot better.
