Preparing House For Sale
Here is a list of things have to be done before the house is put on the market:
*Paint front porch and railing
*Paint front door
*get the two wood blinds repaired that Raja tore up (our dog)
*replace the door frame in Ravi's room
*replace ring on toilet in hall bath
*Paint bathroom walls and doors
*paint all doors in the house
*clear toy room out and store all but the most precious toys at mom and dads.
*Pack up homeschooling supplies and store at M & D's.
*get rid of clutter in the kitchen, play room and master bedroom.
*clear the debris from the fall beds in the front and back, remove some of the overcrowding of the day lillies (share with a friend).
***get rid of all the excess in our lives...anything we haven't used in 6 months (besides seasonal things) needs to go!***
I have been putting stuff on the freecycle list in our city, and so far have gotten rid of all the baby toys and anything the kids don't want.
Other things I got rid of:
Pair of new shoes that are too big, racket ball racket, portacrib and mattress.
Hoping to put all the unneeded books on the freecycle list too.
I just got the kitchen under control yesterday, and Ravi walked in after school as said,"WOW mom! You CLEANED the kitchen!".
Well, I "clean" the kitchen EVERY DAY. But I really made it shine yesterday. I will make sure to have the kids at my parents house when the house is shown! If Ravi is there, he may say anything!
Which reminds me; My mom used to drive an old Volkswagon and without having to put seat belts on or where carseats, we all three fit in the back. The car started giving her problems, and she was ready to get a new car, my parents decided to put the car near the street with a sign on it, "for sale".
They got lots of interested buyers, but one particular one really liked it, and was ready to BUY. Being four years old, I knew what the difference between right and wrong, lies and the truth. So, when the man asked if there was anything wrong with it, or did my mom have any trouble with it, my dad stepped up and said, "It runs like a deer". I thought that was strange, and then said,"my mommy kicks it all the time because she has to push it sometimes."!!! LOL
Needless to say, my parents only allowed me to watch from INSIDE the house when the next buyer came!
