Only in America...

Yesterday on the news, was a story about a little girl of the age of 5, who was out of control in the classroom, and the teacher called the police, then came, and the little girl was handcuffed.
She was wrestled down to the floor by 3 large police officers.

I feel so sick about this. Why was this little girl so upset? What made her lose control? Why can't teachers and principals use peaceful strategies to calm children down. When did it become necessary to call in the police to manhandle a little girl, the same age and size as my two daughters?

Only in America.

Normal is relative...

Okay, I have seen several polls in magazines I normally don't read (while sitting in doctors offices) that ask the question, "how normal are you?". I thought it would be fun to see just how normal I am. Take the poll yourself. You will probably not be very normal either!

How Normal Are You?

You Are 55% Normal
(Somewhat Normal)

While some of your behavior is quite normal...
Other things you do are downright strange
You've got a little of your freak going on
But you mostly keep your weirdness to yourself
