This year, like the others, the children and I are making our holiday gifts by hand.
One of my favorite sites to peruse is Etsy.com, which is full of photos and listings for beautiful and quirky handmade items, from recycled mittens to "softies" which are hand or machine sewn toys.

Kidology 101
Every Monday and Thursday, Ravi goes to an after school activity, BoyChoir.
Lakshmi and Priya have to wait with me for two hours each day, while I wait for Ravi.
Sometimes they do school work, sometimes they play in the Mother's Day Out play yard, and sometimes they sit in the car with me playing with toys.
While we are waiting, the girls always have to go to the bathroom, or want to get the scooter and their helmets out and ride. They are always thirsty, no matter how much water they had before we left, or what types of snacks they had, they are hungry.
Lakshmi: Mom, I'm thirsty.
Mom: I know.
Lakshmi: Mom, I'm hungry.
Mom: I know.
Lakshmi: Mom, I'm bored.
Mom: I know.
Lakshmi: Mom, you know what?
Mom: What?
Lakshmi: You don't know everything!
Ha ha!
