Lakshmi and Priya's Spring Program

We had alot of excitement last Thursday! Lakshmi and Priya were in their Spring musical program. Here they are seen with their teachers. Below is the program. I had to sit through two. Priya's class photo didn't take, so I just have Lakshmi's class here.

Lakshmi spent the entire program telling EVERYONE ELSE to "Shhhhhhhh!". She was quite noisey! LOL!

We could hear Priya singing over all the other kindergarteners! Impressive!

If not for anything else, these programs are for the parents to look back and laugh! Sadly one of the fathers was sitting at the front frowning at his child, trying to make him look at his camera! He was probably the only one that didn't laugh. Amazingly, his wife sat there and smiled through the whole thing, but more than likely was smiling as the only option.

Oy veh!

Skipping forward several days, I got my Honda Oddessy back from the dealership, and plan to approach Honda Corporation to get my money back from this lemon.

Last week a local yoga instructor solidified her interest in teaching two classes a week at my new Holistic Center. I am seeking a Tai Chi instructor, and perhaps an herbalist to occupy my new space.
I plan to start working in Center on May 15 and be ready to open on May 22.
I am researching ways to make a faux marblized look on the floor. I can't afford to buy flooring right now.
Anyway, about 600 sqft will be covered with the yoga instructors mat.

I can't wait to post the before and after photos. It will be spectacular.

For many years, my sister and I have dreamed of opening up a Holistic Center of Health in her area of the country, but indeed it never happened. Now, however, I am seeing my dream come true in less than two weeks. My only hope is that other holistic practitioners will join us in the future.

Meanwhile, it is REAlly only 4 MORE days before we move in! I wrote a very long post last night about the curtains I bought, and the how I was going to decorate Lakshmi and Priya's room, but a large thunder, lightening and wind storm forced us in the central part of the house, and before I ran back to the kids, I jerked the cord out of the plug, and so went the light of my computer, and my very long post!!! : (
In my post, I pointed out how Lakshmi and Priya's room will have butterflies hanging from the ceiling, and I found the cutest curtains (silk multicolored) that have tabs. I also bought Ravi a denim curtain for his Jimmy Neutron bedroom.

I will have to go back to get curtains for my room. I can't decide if I want to get new curtains, or an entire new bedroom linen thing. I really would love to extend the Indian theme into my bedroom since it has already taken over the living room, dining room and my bathroom. I thought I might do a canopy with mosquito netting, but I was affraid it would remind me of my time in Calcutta when I had to sleep with netting at night, not by choice, but because if i didn't, I would have bugs and mosquitos all over me.
I never did get quite used to the buzzing sound while sleeping!

Then I thought I might buy 4 architectual columns, and wrap them with brown fabric, and wrap them with fake coconut trees, placing one at each corner of my bed. But then I might feel like I am at a wedding ceremony. Oh heck, maybe some really good quality sheets (the expensive stuff), new pillows and an old quilt would work best, and of course some new curtains! : )

The kids want a ducky bathroom, but I am thinking of something that would be more overall suitable, since company would use that bathroom too.

Well, did I mention that we move in FOUR MORE days???
