Pictures of Kitchen and Living Room

This is so fun to finally get some photos of the inside of the house. I know what it looks like in my head, but having photos to remind myself each day, makes me very happy.

These are blurry photos, because they are enlarged so we can see them.

I looked at curtains today, and even the cheapest Walmart curtains are $10.00 per panel. The ceilings are high, and the windows are tall, making these hard windows to cover.

I have some curtains I sewed in 2000, made just to keep the light out of the house. I don't think they will look good here, but I will use them "just in case". I can't afford to cover every window in the house!

Perhaps in a year or two, I will put wood blinds in the windows, ones like the dining room where I want the light in, but peering neighbors eyes out.

I love the rich colors on the walls in the kitchen -- a nice contrast with the white cabintry.

Nice livingroom too! :)

Thanks Amy. I plan to keep the red and yellow walls. The dining room is yellow on one wall and red on another. The contrast is so beautiful.

The living room (imo) needs some perking up, since it is either white or ecru. The color is going to come from my furniture or wool rug, perhaps even wall paper.

I am so excited at this point that I am doing things like not sleeping, forgetting to pee, forgetting to eat, cruising the internet for walmart, homedepot, furniture companies, target.

The kids bathroom is very nice, but very plain. They want either frogs, ducks or tropical. I would like the tropical there, but I already have that going on in all my bathroom stuff from my old house, and I must have spent around $200 for all the stuff, so it stays, and in my bathroom. In the kids bathroom, it will be ducks, which would be so relaxing for them while they are taking their bath(s) and just getting ready. By the time the girls are 10, I think I will add another bathroom, as an addition to their bedroom. Then they can fight and pretty up, and no one will ever hear a thing!! LOL! If I could afford to have three bathrooms NOW, I would go ahead and do it!

My friends all say, "don't be surprised if they come to your bathroom to get ready".
TWT.

My bathroom isn't like a getaway, but it is larger than our ONLY bathroom we had at our old house, which 5 of us used to get ready in back in 2001!
