On Thursday, I had an appointment to sign the financial papers on my house. I was so nervous to do this by myself. Last time I did this, I had a husband, and we sat and worried about it together.
Anyway, it is done now, and now I am waiting for the big closing date, May 15th.
Friday, I took the kids out of school in the morning to go to our therapy appointment and halfway there our car started sounding like it was going to stop.
Going back in time, I have already had problems with this car. After having it only 6 months, the transmission stopped working properly, and the dealership replaced it. Almost two weeks ago, I went to Memphis to have the car serviced, because it wasn't accelerating correctly, and the RPM needle was popping up and down (apparently called flaring). They said they didn't see anything like that, but that an engine mount was broken, and they fixed that. I pulled out of the dealership at 5pm, and the same problem continued to exist.
Yesterday, as I was heading to the therapy appointment, I thought we were going to break down. Even at almost 60 mph, it was doing the same thing. The transmission was making a grinding sound when I shifted it. I have paid this vehicle off, and my warrenty runs out in less than 6000 miles, which will pass soon. I don't want to be stuck with a lemon. I am actually going to try to get back my money, and return the car Honda. I have read the lemon laws, and I think I have a case. At least Honda has given me a rental car (Ford Explorer) for the next two weeks, until the Oddessey is repaired.
Today, we have weathered the storms that have come across here and from flooding to amazing wind speeds, I wish it would go away. I even went and looked at my house in the storm, to see how it is holding up. : )
All the kids and I have done to day is play inside, and drive the car to Walmart. It is sad to be inside the house on a miserble day! blah!
