I've found these cute videos of a 91/92 year old lady, who grew up during the depression. She has a series of videos where she demonstrates how food was made during the depression. She tells stories, and this is just so cool. She reminds me of my "Granny", who also lived during the depression. My parents were young children during the depression, so they didn't come out of it making food and having good stories to tell. IT was very hard for them.

Hope you enjoy these videos. I think I'm planning to try the fig cookies (butter instead of lard) when my fig tree has ripe fruit (in the fall). YUMMMMMM!
