from my heart. This poem just popped out a couple
of days ago. I don't take poety "as is". There is the
part that has reality, and the part that is fiction, and
of course part of it is some where in between!
At the End of the Marriage
You said you would love me till "Death Do UsPart",
but instead you have broken and crumbled my heart.
I would have known better, had I known yourplan well,
how you you chose to deceive meand drink dry my well.
But instead of leaving, I lingered a while,
and gave life to you, like the River Nile.
I take my responsibility for all that Idid,
but not when you lowered yourself
and hurt our beautiful kids.
The Mother in me hates the Father in you,
couldn't you have moved back a step or two?
At the end of the marriage, I do not lookback.
We are happier and safer, from you, that's a fact!
May we stay a safe distance, mine and your heart.
May my heart be uncrumbled, till death do us part.
