Ravi is in 2nd grade, and he has already had his first book report. Now, he and his classmates are required to do two projects in observance of Black History Month.
1. A written composition entitled: I AM ________________.
Ravi has to chose a significant black leader here in the US or abroad to write about.
2. A diorama protraying a significant even, contribution, or aspect of his character in #1.
We decided to narrow it down to our local well known characters. Here's the list:
Maxine Smith (freedom fighter)
Dr. Benjamen Hooks (educator)
Judge Clarence Thomas (judge)
B.B. King (blues legend)
Mr. Chuck (local TV personality for PBS)
I don't know how we will decide, but Ravi has to turn in this project by 2/17! That's next week.
I will post here about it once we decide what to do.
