I owe my son an apology! There's a mouse in our house!

This story seems impossible. I know it sounds that way to me. Ravi has been coming to get me for the last several nights to tell me that our hamster (Robo) has been fighting with a mouse. LOL. Every night he comes to me around 12:30am or 1:00am and tells me the same story. He's over at his dad's house tonight, and I decided to check out the story, but I didn't get up in time. So finally just a few minutes ago, I opened the door to his room and peeked into the cage. There was our pet Robo, and his new friend the mouse. It was so shocking to see them sharing Robo's little house. I don't know if I should set a mouse trap, or start feeding him. I cracked up so hard! Basically I saw this mouse last week, and he ran through the living room. I looked for the "break" where the mouse came in, and realized that the dryer vent was open, and that is how the house mouse came in. I fixed it, and I guess the little guy couldn't get out. So low and behold, the little guy is shaking up in our hamster's cage! He's snuggled with the hamster. LOL.

I was hoping the battery charger would have finished charging my camera batteries already, so I could snap a photo (because I just know no one is going to believe me).

Okay, I just went back in there to take the photo, and the mouse was just leaving the cage. I couldn't believe it. You won't too, without a picture.

Wow! That sounds cute but very bizarre! I can't believe the mouse would climb in and out of the cage! How does it get inside?

One thing you might want to be careful of though, the mouse, being wild, has a possibility of carrying diseases that it could pass on the the hamster/people...

Hi Linzi,

The mouse has come, and it is now gone. Our hamster is still fine. But my kids will now have a story to tell their grandchildren. It will definately seem like a tall tale! LOL
