Since we moved into this house, we have been trying to clean up the backyard. The four young men who lived here before us, and they tore up the house, the backyard, the fence, the roof (there are logs and bricks up there yet, and I don't know how to get up there). The worst thing they did on the outside, in the backyard was that they dug a fire pit and had a wood chopping contest here. So, there is split wood everywhere, broken beer bottles in the fire pit, charcoal bars and more broken glass and silver wear in the pit. It was all burnt, broken and trashed. We have the large urban garbage receptical, and I know we have filled 15 of them clearing out the yard. We are closer today than we ever have been to getting it all done, and we've been here for 14 months.
So, to celebrate the broken glass being cleaned up, we played in the back yard.
The kids had a good time. One of the things the four boys did was hang a punching bag from the tree. It's an eye sore, and I am about to bring it down and hang up a swing. So today was the last day the kids could play on it, and with it. They actually like it alot.
Here are the photos from celebrating the backyard being cleaned up.
