Apparently we are about to have a large snow and ice storm on Friday. The kids have been wanting to play in the snow, and have enough to make a snow ball and throw it.
We had snow here last Friday. It was very wet coming down...a beautiful snow storm, but by the time it stopped, the temperature raised and it was melting away. The kids were so disappointed about it. My parents had snow on the same day (they are 2 1/2 hours away) and it stuck, and they stayed home for one day. The kids were very jealous!
Tai Kwan Do
The kids have been taking Tai kwan do for three weeks. Their uniforms arrived yesterday and they looked so cute in them. I will post them when I have a chance. Lakshmi's and Priya's uniforms are a little over sized, and they will have to roll back the sleeves and roll up the pants cuffs, but hopefully they will grow into them very soon.
Ravi is doing impressively well with Tai kwan Do. He has learned a full form, and has so much speed and force that you can hear his movements make an audible *snap*!
Lakshmi and Priya are still working to hold still enough to learn. They have learned high/low kick and high/low punch. I have learned that too. I will work on the form next, and hopefully I will have it down fast. In another month, Ravi will test. Testing determines if you get stripes on your belt, or go up one belt. Ravi is not at the stage of yellow belt yet, but he is fast approaching. He has taken his frustrations and turned them into strength and knowledge.
The instructor has a new puppy, and brought him to lessons, with a black belt on! LOL.
