I have a new (used!) van! I loved driving that van. I drove it out to my parents Saturday night to celebrate Mother's Day and my sister's birthday. They live in the country and I think I must have put over 60 miles on the van.
I took it back to the dealership today and really thought that I was going to have a hard time with the dealing and such, but they were very reasonable. I looked at the blue book value, looked at similar cars on CARMAX and figured out what this car was really worth, and then I made my offer! I asked for $3000.00 off and he agreed!
The greatest thing about the Honda Oddessy is that I can seperate my three kids to break down the fighting! There are two captains seats in the middle, and so Lakshmi and Priya each get one, and then Ravi has the entire back seat, which makes him happy.
This will really come into play when I have three sulky teenagers! All I will have to contend with is the growls and "if eyes could kill you'd already be dead" stares. Ahh! Motherhood!
This morning when I woke up (Mother's day) Ravi brought out something for me, which he had made at school.

That was SO cute! Then he made me close my eyes and took me to my bedroom and showed me that he had made up the bed! The girls didn't have cards or gifts, but I will just consider the mini van being from them!
